Shall we perform bimization for academic level?

The status of Bahasa Isyarat Malaysia (Malaysian Sign Language) BIM is not actually recognized fully in Malaysia.

A simple explanation I could say is that BIM is not recognized in the Constitution of Malaysia, like New Zealand Sign Language and Kenyan Sign Language are both recognized in the Constitution of their countries, which marking them as one of the country's official languages.

American Sign Language is a popular language in the US, and perhaps around the world, yet, ASL is not recognized as an official language in the US.

Even though ASL does not have its status as the country's official language, it does not mean ASL has to wait for the status before ASL can be used at academic level. As you might not aware that there are tons of research papers are written in English, yet there are some other languages, i.e. Chinese, Japanese, Malaysia, Indian languages, and many others are used to write in the research papers.

Does it mean only written language is allowed to be used for research paper? Hmm...

ASL has been used in academic level since a few years ago. If you agree that ASL or other Sign Language have equal status with other languages, Sign Language shall be applied in the academic areas too!

I would like to invite you to visit websites, which are listed below, I know so far, and if you know more than these. Please let me know.
